(OLF News, February 03, 2009) Our reporters from Finfinnee (Addis Ababa) revealed that the Wayyanee/Ethiopian government “security” agents have listed hundreds of Oromo nationalists and are following them for another wave of mass arrest which doesn’t seem to show any sign of abating.
Among several hundreds put on the arrest list, 55 have been arrested already and the remaining are under constant search, OLF News agents reported.
OLF News reporters warned that Oromo nationalists in and around the towns of Jimmaa, Mattuu, Dambii Dolloo, Asoosaa, Shaambuu, Amboo, Finfinnee, Adaamaa, Ciroo, Dirree Dhawaa, Harar and Jijjiigaa are under strict search for arrest and should take extra care not to get into the hands of the Wayyanee security agents for they will not only be arrested but also beaten and tortured for no reason other than being Oromo.
According to OLF News sources at least 50 Oromos have been arrested in a second round of mass arrest in Eastern Oromiya. Last week alone 30 Oromos have been apprehended from Eastern Oromia and taken to the notorious Ma’ikelawi prison of Finfinnee.
Among those apprehended from Finfinnee and thrown to Mai’kelawi prison include:
1) Tolasaa Wolde, a lawyer
2) Lammi Sooraa, artist
